HISTORY OF LOVE UNITED CONNECTING CHILDREN WORLDWIDE

Michelle Peters

Michelle Peters is the founder of Love United Connecting Children Worldwide. The name “Love United” was inspired by a quilt design in 2018, which brought together children’s creative drawings and connected them symbolically. The quilt features a heart at its center, representing the heart of God. In response to a divine calling, Michelle aims to unite all precious children around the world. For each program conducted, a quilt is designed, incorporating photos and drawings made by the children. As the program expands, the quilt continues to grow with added photos.

At the age of 5, Michelle experienced the devastating impact of her parents’ divorce. This traumatic event left her feeling confused, rejected, in pain, and hopeless. It was during this time that she realized the absence of the love of our Heavenly Father in her life. While she acknowledged the existence of God, her parents had never taught her about His love or the teachings of the Bible. This absence of understanding nurtured a void in her heart. However, Michelle firmly believes that love conquers all.

Quoting Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”, Michelle emphasizes the importance of training children in the way they should go, as it shapes their future path. Children who have experienced rejection, trauma, abandonment, or abuse often struggle with self-identity, spiritual growth, and overall development in various areas of their lives. Understanding the need to mentor these precious children, Michelle received divine guidance to teach them about God’s love and His Word, enabling them to grow stronger in Him. Many of these children come from broken homes, single-parent households, have endured abuse, and trauma, or currently reside in orphanages.

In 2021, Michelle published a curriculum titled Love United Connecting Children Worldwide Mentorship Program. This comprehensive curriculum consists of ten lessons complemented by creative activities. It aims to help children discover their identity in Christ Jesus, as well as explore and nurture their unique creative gifts and talents.

Through her personal journey and the development of Love United, Michelle is driven by the desire to heal and empower children who have faced similar challenges. By instilling knowledge of God’s love and providing mentorship, she aspires to guide them toward a path of healing, growth, and fulfillment.
